Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor Tennis Club
Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor Tennis Club has excellent facilities, including a well-equipped clubhouse and floodlights. Founded in 1985 by some local Abingdon tennis enthusiasts, who want to build a superb facility for the local community. Today, the club caters for all types of player from beginners through to team players. Also there is a strong ‘mini’ and junior membership.
Social Play
The mixed club sessions on Sunday mornings enable players of all abilities to play a few games of tennis and meet with other members.
Coaching
An LTA registered coach run regular weekly sessions throughout the year for both adults and juniors of all abilities. Tennis coaching programmes are only available to Club Members.
Competitive Tennis
Ladies, mens and mixed teams compete into various local tennis leagues. These includes Wilson Summer League and Thames Valley Winter League, as well as the OLTA Ladies’ Mid-Week League. In addition to these competitive tennis opportunities, a number of friendly inter-club matches are arranged each year.
Membership
As a community sports club, Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor Tennis Club offers incredibly affordable membership, with some of the lowest fees in the county. Plus, with a number of options, all types of local tennis player are catered for. Finally, members range from 5 years old to players in their 70s!
