Knaresborough King James’s Tennis Club
Knaresborough King James’s Tennis Club was formed in 2011 as a joint collaboration between Knaresborough Tennis Club (established 1985) and King James’s School. The Club provides tennis opportunities for players of all ages and abilities in the town and surrounding area.
There’s weekly club sessions which enable all to stay active and play some good tennis. There’s also a great way to meet new friends. Plus courts are free for you to book at any point outside the club’s programme.
Angela Crossley Tennis Coaching (ACTC) was set up in 2011 by Angela Crossley and since 2017 has been delivering the coaching programme. Angela is an LTA level 4 Tennis coach and has been coaching over 10 years now. Chris Worwood continues to coach at the club as part of the ACTC team delivering a lot of the junior coaching as before.
Keeping a competitive spirit alive is many teams who compete in local leagues. There is a ladies doubles team in the Fulford Ladies League. A mens doubles team in the Tyke Petroleum League. As well as mixed doubles team in the Harrogate and District League.
Low membership fees make Knaresborough King James’s Tennis Club affordable to all. Adult membership costs just over £1 per week and therefore the club is open to all.
