Leamington Tennis and Squash Club

Leamington Tennis and Squash Club came into existence in 1872 making it the world’s first lawn tennis club. The friendly club, which is located close to the centre of Leamington Spa, welcomes all tennis, squash and racketball players, young or old and regardless of ability.


The club has excellent facilities both on and off court. From an extensive coaching programme to help you improve and a thriving social scene. Whether you are looking for competitive league match, a sociable game at a regular club nights or a game with friends, Leamington Tennis and Squash Club is the place for you! Off court, members enjoy a number of social events through the year.


Social Play

There is social tennis club night twice a week throughout the year. As well as on Sunday afternoons in April – October . There is plenty of court time available for private games, which is easy for members to book.



For those taking up tennis for the first time, or wanting to improve their skills, there is an excellent coaching team offering courses or individual attention. Also A full coaching and fitness programme is run for juniors from age 3 upwards.


Competitive Tennis

For those who like competition, the club holds a competitive singles ladder throughout the year. As well as a mixed doubles ladder through autumn to spring. There is also a closed club tournament. If you are interested in representing the club, there is a strong club presence in both the mens and ladies Coventry and district summer leagues. Teams also compete in the Stratford winter league, plus a number of veterans teams.
