Lower Windrush Tennis Club

Lower Windrush Tennis Club is a friendly, local tennis club in Standlake, Oxfordshire. If you want the opportunity to play tennis, for fitness, as a social activity or more competitively, then you’ll find lots of opportunity at Lower Windrush Tennis Club.

In addition to an exciting tennis programme, the club hosts an active social calendar with events throughout the year.

Social Play

On Thursday nights, members gather and enjoy playing with each other at the weekly Adult Club Night. While this is the heart of the club’s calendar, non-members are welcome to join in for a small fee. Also, you can easily book a court for your own game and some of these slots are open to non-members on a pay and play basis.

Coaching

There are regular Cardio-Tennis sessions, as well as adult and junior coaching. The club’s junior section is very active with ‘Kids Club’ on a Sunday morning.

Excel Tennis works in partnership with the club to deliver coaching. So, whether you’re 4 or 40, there’s help available.

Competitive Tennis

Sadly, the club doesn’t compete in local leagues, however, throughout the year a number of club tournaments take place. These are always open to all members and are great fun.

Membership

Lower Windrush Tennis Club offers a range of membership, each designed to cater to a range of requirements. There are discounts available for new members and early renewals. Also, all membership packages come with 10 free cardio tennis sessions!

Extras

Off court, every June the club takes part in an annual social cricket match against the Black Sheep at Oxford Downs. This is a great evening, and you don’t need to be a cricketer to sign up!
