Northallerton Tennis Club
Northallerton Tennis Club is located in Romandy, near Thirsk. In addition to the club’s excellent four hard courts, members have the use of the facilities at Northallerton Town Cricket Club next door. There’s an active calendar for tennis players of all ages, which runs all year round.
Social Play
At the heart of the club’s active calendar is 2 weekly club nights during summer on Monday and Thursday evenings. So, please feel free to come and join in the fun! This leaves plenty of court time, especially in winter, for members to book and use.
Coaching
Ralph Windwood, the club’s Head Coach, offers a varied coaching programme for juniors and adults. As well as kids holiday camps. So whether you’re getting back into tennis or need help on a specific element, Ralph is available to help.
Competitive Tennis
In terms of competitive play, 2 teams compete in the Harrogate and District mixed doubles league. There’s a Ladies doubles team in the Darlington league. As well as a Men’s doubles team in the Vale of Mowbray league. For those who can brave the snow, there’s also a team in the Thirsk mixed doubles winter league!
Membership
As Northallerton Tennis Club is run entirely by unpaid volunteers, the subscriptions are very low and therefore all are encouraged to join.
