Oxford City Lawn Tennis Club
Located in a secluded spot in East Oxford, Oxford City Lawn Tennis Club is a friendly, well equipped and good value members-only tennis club. The club has a large, active and sociable membership.
The club also organises regular social events as well as a ballot for Wimbledon tickets.
Social Play
Club-nights are Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as on Sunday mornings. So turn up and mix in at these events. It’s the best way to get involved with the club. Unscheduled courts are free to use all day.
Coaching
Two super LTA qualified coaches that provide group-coaching for juniors and everyone else. They also offer group and individual coaching by arrangement.
Competitive Tennis
Men’s, Ladies and Mixed teams compete in the Oxford league. Also there’s a few club tournaments each year.
Membership
Regrettably, Oxford City Lawn Tennis Club does not really cater for beginners, so it is probably not worth joining before you have had some lessons. Luckily the club can recommend local coaches who can bring you up to standard.
