Rowntree Park Tennis Club
Rowntree Park Tennis Club is situated in the very pleasant surroundings of Rowntree Park in the city of York. There’s weekly coaching, club sessions and matches happening all year round.
The Club is predominately run for players who have already reached an intermediate standard or above and especially for those who wish to play competitive team tennis. However, the club is now developing coaching for less experienced players and juniors.
Social Play
Club play for members commences in April on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Also, members may arrange games between themselves when courts are free and book Courts 4-6 online at no cost.
Coaching
It is the aim of the Club to provide coaching facilities for all age groups. And a wide range of coaching is available and will enable members to grow and develop.
Competitive Tennis
The Club has six teams: three Men’s Doubles, two Mixed Doubles and one Ladies’ Doubles teams who are all active in local leagues.
There’s also a club ladder for mixed singles matches, which is open to all members and runs throughout the year.
Membership
As a community club, it’s affordable to join Rowntree Park Tennis Club and as a range of memberships packages are available, the club’s caters to all. Plus visitors are welcome for a small fee.
