Ryde Mead Lawn Tennis Club
Founded in 1907, Ryde Mead Lawn Tennis Club is a small friendly club. The club is set in the centre of town overlooking the small harbour and the Solent. It’s a beautiful setting in which to play tennis.
Social Play
The club has an active social tennis scene with many weekly session which are open to all members. And if you want to play outside of these club nights, then you’re able to book court online for your own games.
Coaching
If you are new to the game or a lapsed player, there’s a range of coaching and courses throughout the year. As well as private coaching with our coaching team. There are lessons for all ages and abilities, and non-members are welcome.
Competitive Tennis
If you want to play more competitive tennis, then club teams compete in Island and mainland leagues. Including the Hampshire and Portsmouth winter and summer Leagues. Ryde Mead also takes part registered in the of Wight Tennis League, a local tennis competition, which is open to players of all standards.
Membership
You can join Ryde Mead Lawn Tennis Club for less than £3 per week. Also, visitors to the Isle of Wight, who would like to play tennis or have coaching are always welcome.
Extras
The Courtside Cafe is open to members and non members for refreshments, including fresh coffee and selection of hot and cold food all locally produced.
