South Hants Lawn Tennis Club is a friendly grass court tennis club located moments away from Southampton Common.
Social Play
As a member of the club, you will have a key and so can use the courts whenever they are dry! However, there is a multitude of events during weekday evenings and at the weekends, which are open to members.
Coaching
There is no coaching programme available. And as a result, it may be worth looking at other local tennis clubs who do provide extensive coaching options.
Competitive Tennis
South Hants enters teams into both the Hants and IoW league and the Apsley league. Also, mens and ladies teams compete in winter leagues, but obviously play all of the matches away!
In addition, the club organises friendlies against other local clubs to give everyone the opportunity to try competitive tennis.
Membership
You’re welcome to come along and try out the club before joining! At the start of the summer, there’s an Opening Weekend event, as well as Sunday afternoon mix-ins once every month during the season, both of which are open to anyone.
As South Hants Lawn Tennis Club only plays in the summer, rates are affordable and there are a few membership options available.
