St. Ives Tennis Club
Located just above Porthminster beach, St. Ives Tennis Club plays tennis throughout the year. Play tennis in a relexed evironment overlooking the beach and ocean. Easily one of the best places to play in the UK!
Social Play
There is three social mix-in session each week. These turn up and mix in sessions are open to all and are always great fun. Plus as a member, you’re welcome to use courts when free. Not a members, you can still use the courts on a pay and play basis.
Coaching
The club’s coach offers private and group lesson as well as an active junior programme. Lessons are open to non-members as well.
Competitive Tennis
For more competitive players, 2 men’s teams and 2 ladies teams are entered into the Cornwall Tennis Leagues. Also, a mixed team competes in the winter league.
Regular events such as the Chairman’s American Tennis Tournaments are run on some summer Sundays, followed by a barbecue. There is also an annual Club Tournament.
Membership
Membership The best way to enjoy your tennis in St.Ives is to join St. Ives Tennis Club as either an Adult, Student, Junior, Family or ‘Out of County’ member. That way, there are no court fees all year. However, you can ‘pay and play’ but as membership is such good value, joining is the best option!
