Steep Lawn Tennis Club
Founded in 1906, Steep Lawn Tennis Club is set in unrivalled National Park countryside on the edge of Steep village near Petersfield in East Hampshire. The club offers coaching, teams, juniors development programme and social activities.
Social Play
The club thrives on a mix of social and competitive tennis. All members are welcome to attend regular, organised ‘mix-ins’ on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
Coaching
If you’re looking to develop your skills then the club has 2 LTA qualified coaches who offering coaching for all age groups and all standards. In addition to regular groups course, both coaches are available for private lessons. One of the coaches offers affordable racquet restringing.
Competitive Tennis
In terms of competitive action, there’s an exciting range of club and external matches. There are teams who compete in both the winter and summer county leagues.
There is a full calendar of tournaments. One of the highlights of the year is the Club Championship Finals Day which normally includes Junior as well as Senior matches.
Membership
While there’s no joining fee for under 35, there is one for those over 35. As you would expect, Steep Lawn Tennis Club offers a range of membership packages and so caters to all types of tennis players.
