Swaythling Lawn Tennis Club
Swaythling Lawn Tennis Club is a members only club, hidden between Bassett Green Road and Ethelburt Avenue in Southampton. The season runs from the end of April to early October, depending on the weather. The club is perfect for individuals and families looking for relaxed friendly tennis on the surface of Wimbledon champions!
As well as the superb tennis programme, the club hosts Quiz nights, tournaments and other activities help to make Club membership an enjoyable social.
Social Play
Each week, there’s a number of informal doubles mix in sessions. These are open to all and are an enjoyable setting to play tennis. Outside these sessions, courts are available for members to use for their own games. So you have an excellent choice of play each week.
Coaching
Both adult and junior group coaching is available on Fridays. These are a fantastic way to improve your game, whatever your age.
Competitive Tennis
There are also friendly matches against local Clubs with a similar outlook. So if you’re looking for more competitive play then some is available.
Membership
Swaythling Lawn Tennis Club welcomes new members of any standard and while you can pay and play, membership is highly affordable. becoming a member enables you to play as often as you wish, join club teams and enjoy the club’s regular social events.
