Tennis in the Park is a venture organised by Ipswich Borough Council and Ipswich Sports Club. Tennis in the Park is open to everyone and all ages are welcome. It’s a family-friendly club that welcomes men, women and children of all ages and abilities to come and experience the fantastic facilities. With excellent resources and coaching for tennis, hockey and squash, the club also features a well equipped fitness and training centre. No wonder it’s the proud home of so many successful national and international teams and sports stars!

Ipswich Sports Club has an unrivalled reputation for sporting excellence. Aside from having some of the country’s top coaches, the club has been home to many England and GB international players, such as Leisa King and Olympians Sadie Lister, Vicky Dixon and Jo Thompson to name but a few.

Social Play

Tennis in the Park is open to everyone and all ages are welcome. Whether you want to play regularly or join in at some free coaching, there’s plenty of tennis available.

There’s free coaching every week for all the family including rackets and balls. So turn up and join in. Professional tennis coaches from Ipswich Sports Club host regular coaching sessions for all the family. As well as running a number of fun activity session throughout the year.

Sadly, there no competitive play available. However, many other local clubs do and so if you’re looking for more competitive play then it could be best to look at other local clubs.

While you have to be a member to enjoy Tennis in the Park, the benefits are numerous. They include discounts on membership of Ipswich Sport Clubs, free coaching and so much more!
