Established in 1882, Thames Ditton Lawn Tennis Club is the oldest tennis club in England, still on its original site. The Tennismark accredited venue is run by and for members. The club’s exciting programme includes social and competitive tennis to players of all ages and abilities. Also, the club has a thriving and inclusive social scene centred around the clubhouse.

Social Play

Adult mix-ins are every Friday evenings throughout the year and on Sunday afternoons in Summer. Fixed Fours Monday and Thursday evenings and Free Play throughout the week.

If you are new to the game or a lapsed player, there are free coaching courses in May to new members. As well as regular group sessions and private coaching with the coaching team. Cardio Tennis is also available.

The thriving junior coaching programme caters for both performance and development players. The junior programme runs on a termly basis and currently operates on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday after school. As well as on Saturday mornings. There’s also matchplay sessions every Monday and Friday.

Competitive Tennis

If you want to play more competitive tennis there are Club Tournaments for Singles, Doubles, Mixed and Vets. However, if you want to play for the Club, you can compete in league matches and friendly matches against other clubs in the area. Teams are currently competing in the Surrey Summer and Winter Leagues (doubles). There are also teams in the Surrey Aegon League (singles and doubles, adults and juniors).

With a range of memberships available, all are welcome at Thames Ditton Lawn Tennis Club. And since there’s no joining fees or playing-in tests, and affordable fees, becoming a member is easy and open to all.
