Thrapston and District Tennis Club

Thrapston and District Tennis Club is a small club with a strong social ethos. The Club was awarded the ‘Clubmark’ by the LTA in 2009. The standard of play at Thrapston Tennis Club is varied. So whether you are a beginner or play inter-club match tennis there is something here for everyone.

 

Social Play

Members enjoy Club nights on Wednesday evenings. These relaxed session are where players team up at random and play a limited number of games for fun, then switch partners and keep playing. Prospective new members are welcome to attend a club night to gauge the atmosphere for themselves before hopefully taking up membership.

 

Coaching

Coaching is available for all standards, starting with five years old up. Also, The club owns a ball machine if you fancy a real workout! In addition if you want to work on those ground stokes on your own there is a practice wall to warm up against. The half court is perfect for the youngsters to get their introduction to tennis with short tennis.

 

Competitive Tennis

For the more experienced players, teams compete in the East Northants Tennis League and Northampton League. There are also a number of club tournaments of both a competitive and social nature in the summer months.

 

Membership

Thrapston and District Tennis Club provides a range of membership categories to suit everyone. From families to junior and individual members. For example, adult membership costs less than £2 per week.
