Wortham Lawn Tennis Club

Located a few miles from Diss, Wortham Lawn Tennis Club is a friendly, forward looking, which aims to offer something for every level of player. The club has an active adult, junior and mini coaching programmes with social and competitive play all year round.

 

Social Play

The regular turn up and play club sessions enable all members to play often. These fantastic weekly session are also a great way to continue to work on your game while meeting new people. Courts can also be easily booked online for your own games outside the club’s programme.

 

Coaching

Emily Wharton, the club’s coach runs an extensive coaching programme with group and individual sessions available for adult, junior, and mini tennis players. Regular Cardio Tennis session also take place. As does Tennis Xpress, a programme for adult beginners or those who haven’t played for a while. There really hasn’t been a better time to improve your tennis skills!

 

Competitive Tennis

Teams in a number of competitive leagues, including the Ipswich and Felixstowe league. Also there are adult and junior club tournaments throughout the summer season.

 

Membership

With members of all ages, Wortham Lawn Tennis Club is a very inclusive club. There are multiple membership options available and adults, for example, pay just under £2 per week. Visitors are welcome for a small fee with no annual limit. In addition, non-members can hire courts, which again provides further options to local tennis players.

 

Extras

The club holds Tennis ClubMark status and has been Suffolk LTA Club of the year in 2003, 2009, 2015 and 2016. Wortham Lawn Tennis Club was also crowned Suffolk Sport Club of the Year 2015.
