Walton Tennis Club

Situated in a rural location on the outskirts of Stafford, Walton Tennis Club is a friendly club which welcomes new or experienced players of all abilities. The club offers opportunities for social tennis, league tennis and family play.

Social Play

The members play in social mix-ins which take place on several weekday nights as well as on Sunday morning. These mix-ins are a chance for members to meet other players and guarantee newcomers a game.

Coaching

Club coach, Chris Proud, runs coaching programmes for juniors and adults and is available for private individual or group sessions and is there to meet new members at the Thursday night mix-in.

The thriving Junior section has a supervised mix-in on a Friday evening and priority access at other set times. Competent junior members can be ‘promoted’ to allow them to play in senior mix-ins.

Competitive Tennis

For more competitive players, 6 teams compete in local leagues. An annual Club Championship competition runs each summer and an Open Veterans competition runs in the winter. And as a result, there’s match play available for all levels.

Membership

With a few different membership packages available, Walton Tennis Club offers great value for money. Also, you can either choose to pay in full, or in quarterly instalments.

Off court, the licensed bar is open on mix-in nights and is perfect for a relaxing drink. Also, there is a range of social events in the clubhouse.
