Attenborough Lawn Tennis Club
Attenborough Lawn Tennis Club is a well-established, friendly community sports club located in the village of Attenborough. Believe to have been in existence since 1909. Today, the club has a lot to offer with regular social tennis, coaching and league play.
Social Play
At the heart of the club is social tennis and members regularly meet for sessions. These allow members to turn up and play against players of all standards. Non-members are welcome to take part in these session on a pay and play basis.
Coaching
The club’s head coach, Saul Abbiss leads Attenborough Tennis Academy, which provides a wide range of coaching sessions for all ages and abilities. Junior coaching starts from the age of 5 and enables children to learn the basis and develop their tennis skills. There’s also adult coaching for all abilities as well as Cardio Tennis for those who wish to keep fit.
As well as group coaching Attenborough Tennis Academy also provides individual lessons for those who wish to accelerate their development.
Competitive Tennis
In addition to regular club tournaments, there are also opportunities for competitive tennis. Ladies, mens and mixed team compete in Nottinghamshire LTA and Aegon Leagues.

A broad range of membership options is available at Attenborough Lawn Tennis Club. Plus, there’s no joining fees, just an annual subscription at reasonable rates!
Extras
There are also occasional club events throughout the year to give members and their partners the opportunity to get together for meals and drinks.
Awful attitude, more intense sports training than casual tennis. Really over the top coaching style. I guess the head coach is some sort of failed sports student to end up in this back water club.
