Barnes Tennis Club

Barnes Tennis Club is part of Barnes Sports Club. Benefits of membership include access to the tennis courts all-year around, use of a ball machine for practice and the chance to enjoy regular group or individual coaching.

 

Social Play

The three weekly social session enable members to play regularly and meet with other members. Players mix in and play a few sets. There’s a session Saturday afternoons all year. In the winter there are session on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. These midweek sessions move to evening events in the summer months.

 

Coaching

The club hosts regular coaching including Adult Beginners Courses and Adult Improvers Courses as well as rusty rackets for those are returning to the sport after a break. Juniors also benefit from a range of coaching, led by a LTA qualified coach. This programme includes regulars courses, holiday camps and tournaments.

 

Competitive Tennis

If you’re more of a competitive tennis players, Barnes doesn’t disappoint. The club competes in the local Barnes League as well as the Surrey League. Also, there is a club box league and annual tournament.

 

Membership

Membership benefits at Barnes Tennis Club include priority booking on camps and courses at a reduced rate and free British Tennis membership. Plus there’s a range of options to choose from. However, there is a joining fee for members over 24.

 

Extras

For the times when you are not on court, the club also has a lively social scene. And therefore the clubhouse bar is always busy.
