Bearsden Lawn Tennis Club

Founded in 1887, Bearsden Lawn Tennis Club is one of the oldest in the region. Set in a most attractive location near Bearsden Cross, Bearsden is a thriving tennis club, providing excellent facilities for both social and team players.

Initially, it occupied two courts in Ledcameroch Road near Bearsden Station. The club then moved to Jubilee Gardens in 1902, after being given two weeks notice to quit at the end of the 1901 season!

Social Play

The twice weekly Social Tennis are very popular. These sessions allow adults and older junior members to play some tennis, meet other members and improve their game play.

Regular coaching groups are on offer for members. These are arranged according to age and ability and cover all levels from beginner to performance. So, if you’re looking to improve your technique, it’s worth considering joining a course.

Competitive Tennis

Currently the club competes with 4 Ladies, 3 Men’s, 6 Veterans, 9 Juniors and 3 Mini-Tennis teams in the West of Scotland Leagues. In addition, there are free weekly match-play sessions at the club. So, if you’re looking for a fantastic range of competitive tennis, Bearsden Lawn Tennis Club does not disappoint.

While the club offers a range of membership, fees are currently discounted by 40%! This means, there has never been a better time to join!

As a club member, you have the chance to win Wimbledon tickets as well as many other benefits including with British Tennis Membership!
