Bounds Green Bowls and Tennis Club
Established in 1887, Bounds Green Bowls & Tennis Club has grown from humble beginnings. The North London club started as a Tennis and Croquet club, however, it has now developed into an all-year round facility. Sitting along side the original sections of bowls and tennis, the club facilities now include snooker, table tennis, and darts as well as social events.
Whether your motivation for joining as a tennis member is fitness, competitive playing, or sociability you’ll be very welcome.
Social Play
Club sessions are a perfect way to experience the club. Weather permitting, members meet all year round on Sunday Mornings, Thursday Evenings and Friday during the day. In addition, a few Round Robin sessions take place throughout the year and usually are followed by a social event.
Coaching
While coaching is open to members and non-members, discounts are available for club members. The club coach, James Mott offers a comprehensive coaching programme available for all ages and abilities. James also offers a re-string service.
Competitive Tennis
With both internal club tournaments and external league play, Bounds Green Bowls and Tennis Club offers a superb mixture of match play. And therefore there are a number of competitive opportunities for tennis players of all ages and standards.
Membership
While the club does charge a joining fee, many discounts are available and children join for free. Social membership is also available.
Extras
In addition to the wide range of sport, the club also hosts a variety of fitness and other evening classes. Plus, the clubhouse bar is super venue to hire for parties.
