Cheddar Lawn Tennis Club

Located next to Cheddar reservoir with the picturesque Mendip Hills behind, Cheddar Lawn Tennis Club is a friendly club. All ages and standards will enjoy playing tennis at the club thanks to it’s superb facilities and excellent opportunities. So whether you’re five years old or over 75 years, a complete beginners or County players, there’s something for you here. Cheddar Lawn Tennis Club is run to very high standards which has been recognized by a Clubmark Award.

 

Social Play

There are regular social tennis sessions on a Thursday evening and Saturday morning. These provide all players with the opportunity to play a few games and meet new people. Also members are able to book courts for their own games outside the club’s programme.

 

Coaching

If you’re looking to develop your skills then a level 4 LTA qualified coach is on hand to help. Both individual and group coaching sessions are available for all ages.  Children learn using smaller courts, bats and lighter balls in line with the LTA mini tennis programme. These weekly fun session inspire kids while teaching them the basics. For adults, a number of beginner and improver courses are available each year.

 

Competitive Tennis

While the club doesn’t compete in local leagues, there is an annual tournament which encourages members to challenge themselves.

 

Membership

With one of widest number of membership options, Cheddar Lawn Tennis Club is easy to join whatever your age, standard or requirements. Membership can be paid in two ways. Either as a one off annual fee or four instalments spread across four months.
