Congresbury Tennis Club

Founded in the 1930s, Congresbury Tennis Club is situated on National Playing Fields Association grounds. And is part of the multi-sports King George V Memorial Recreation Club. The club central aim is to provide facilities to support and encourage the playing of tennis for all ages and standards.

 

Social Play

Social tennis club sessions are on a week night and Sunday mornings and are open to all. So if you don’t have a partner to play with or are hoping to pick up some tips, then these weekly session enable you to play regularly and develop your skills. Of course, you’ll also meet new people and be able to catch up with existing friends.

 

Coaching

The club also offers adult and junior coaching on a weekly basis run by Dean Cope, who is LTA qualified. Individual sessions are also available with Dean. One of the club’s key aims is to provide a centre of excellence for junior tennis.

 

Competitive Tennis

Congresbury Tennis Club fields a number of teams in local leagues including teams in the North Somerset league and Bristol Avon League. And as a result is always on the look out for more competitive player to join.

 

Membership

New members benefit from a large discount on membership fees. As does players who been at the club for more than two years. Overall fees are affordable with adult membership costing less than £2 per week. Courts are also available a pay and play basis.

 

Extras

As a fantastic community based club, members regular meet for a range of social events.
