Cooden Beach Sports and Social Club

Cooden Beach Sports and Social Club is a thriving sports club located in the western part of Bexhill, East Sussex. The club was founded in 1969 as a tennis club by an enthusiastic group of local people. The founding members always want the club to be more than a sports club, therefore the club offers many other activities such as yoga, pilates and a bridge club.

 

Social Play

The club has a varied social playing calendar and there is usually an evening/afternoon option to suit all abilities. Once a month the club’s coach Nick hosts a social mixed event on a Saturday afternoon for all club members.

 

Coaching

Coaching at the Club is provided by South Coast Tennis, who offer a range of coaching options for both juniors and adults. The coaching team hold regular group courses sessions. Private one on one lessons are also available.

 

Competitive Tennis

2 men’s and 3 ladies teams compete in the LTA Sussex doubles leagues, a number of junior teams competing in the AEGON Sussex team leagues and a mixed doubles team in the Wealden league.

 

Cooden Beach holds an annual summer and winter tournaments as well as plenty of events to suit all ages.

 

Membership

The club offers a few different types of  membership, each of which is affordable. In addition, members can bring visitors up to three times for a small fee.

Cooden Beach Sports and Social Club holds a number of social events for the benefit of members and their guests.
