Dyke Park Lawn Tennis Club
Established in 1929, Dyke Park Lawn Tennis Club is an excellent example of a community sports club which benefits the whole community. Located at Dyke Park, which is one of the many delightful parks in Brighton and Hove. The membership encompassing many nationalities, languages and cultures, and therefore all are welcome.
Social Play
As members are strongly encouraged to take an active part in Club life, the regular social tennis session offer an exciting opportunity. In winter these turn up and play sessions take place on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Whereas in summer members meet on Saturday afternoons and Sunday evenings. Each session is cap at 30 members, however prospective members are welcome.
Coaching
The club benefits from two highly experienced and qualified tennis coaches. Adults can join a range of courses each year, which will enable them to grow and develop. Private lessons are also available.
Competitive Tennis
If you’re looking for great match play, then Dyke Park offers a range. Teams compete in the local Brighton and Hove LTA League as well as in national competitions. And if you not quite ready for league play, there are also a number of club tournaments each year.
Membership
As the club uses courts own by the local council, membership includes access to all Brighton and Hove Parks Tennis courts, which enables you to play at multiple sites across the area. However, membership fees are very affordable. Non-members are required to pay court fees or purchase a season ticket from Brighton and Hove council. Also the club’s tennis courts are available on a pay and play basis.
Extras
Racquets and tennis balls are available to borrow and or buy at very reasonable prices.
