East Grinstead Tennis, Squash and Racketball Club
Founded in 1882, East Grinstead Tennis, Squash and Racketball Club is the 5th oldest tennis club in the world! Whether you want to be the next Andy Murray or Johanna Konta . Improve your skills or just enjoy fun social tennis with a couple of drinks afterwards. Then the club have something for everyone.
Social Play
The thriving friendly social tennis sessions take place on Saturday afternoons and Wednesday evenings. They are open to all to turn up, mix in and play. Also members enjoy virtually unlimited court time, for their own use. Either way, the club will enable you to stay active and meet new people.
Coaching
The Tennis Coaching team of Adam, Patrick and Luke are on hand to help you get to the next level. They offer term time courses for all junior ages as well as tennis camps during the school holidays. Adult courses are also available throughout the year. In addition, you can book a private lesson with one of the team if you prefer to get some intensive 1:1 work on that dodgy serve or backhand!
Competitive Tennis
If you like a more challenging game, then the club offers a mixture of internal and external match play. Mens, ladies and mixed teams compete in both the Sussex and Weald leagues. Also, there is the occasional ‘American’ Mixed Doubles tournaments throughout the year which everyone stands a chance of winning, no matter what their ability.
Membership
As a friendly, not for profit club, membership is open to all. East Grinstead Tennis, Squash and Racketball Club offers a number of memberships as well as annual and monthly payment options. While the club doesn’t offer tennis only membership, joining does allow you to use all the facilities.
Extras
After you’ve worked up a sweat on off, the bar is the perfect place to grab a drink and relax. The clubhouse is also the setting for a range of social events, which take place throughout the year.
