Social Play
As a member, you can use any of the 18 courts on a “turn up and play” basis with no need to book. The courts cover the three Grand Slam surfaces with grass (Wimbledon), synthetic clay (like Roland Garos) and hard court (US Open and Australian Open). As well as tarmac courts. And so you can experience the feel and the unique challenge of different playing surfaces. Members enjoy meeting each week for social tennis. These sessions are superb for working on your game while meeting new people.
Coaching
An excellent coaching programme is delivered by Challenge Tennis. The team run a range of Junior and Adult group sessions and individual lessons for all ability levels. Plus juniors can take part in fun holiday camps throughout the year!
Competitive Tennis
If you want to play more competitive matches, then multiple teams are active in the Aegon Regional, Bucks Shield and Aylesbury & District leagues throughout the year. So whatever your standard, the club offers challenging match play for all tennis players.
Membership
There’s a wide range of memberships for juniors, students, weekday, adults and families. Great Missenden Lawn Tennis Club does charge a joining fee on certain memberships types. However, there is no playing in test or minimum standard. Simply put, the club is open to all and there’s something for all types of tennis players.
