Great Shelford Tennis Club

Located south of Cambridge, Great Shelford Tennis Club is a friendly community sports club, with a very full programme of social tennis, competitive and coaching for all ages and standards. The inclusive club has a wide range of members, from those just starting to some more experienced players.

 

Social Play

The club’s busy calendar includes separate club sessions for seniors and juniors. With multiple session each week, social players have plenty of opportunities to get together and play a few friendly tennis games. Of course, outside Great Shelford Tennis Club’s programme, courts can be easily booked.

 

Coaching

In addition to lots of opportunities for social tennis, the club runs a extensive coaching programme delivered by Over&In. The team run a wide range of group coaching to suit all ages. Private lessons are also available. During holidays kids can join camps which will enable them to grow and develop their skills in a fun environment.

 

Competitive Tennis

If you match play, then Great Shelford Tennis Club offers a full range. There are several intra-club singles and doubles tournaments each year as well as a singles box league. The club is also very active in the Cambridgeshire tennis summer and winter leagues.

 

Membership

Select from five categories of membership including family, adult and mini. There is, however, a small joining fee for some membership categories.

 

Extras

Great Shelford Tennis Club has been awarded the LTA Tennismark accreditation. The club therefore has good standards, strong leadership and follows best practice.
