Hagley Lawn Tennis Club
Hagley Tennis Club was formed on 15 May 1980. A few weeks later on 19 July 1980, the club began playing on the Haybridge High School Courts. Mrs Hammersley took the first shot!
The Club moved in January 1986 from Haybridge to the courts sited at the Catholic School. Even the club’s famous Club Hut made the move across the road! The Club now has improved facilities; a Club Pavilion and a secured area within the grounds of the Catholic School.
Social Play
As the school use the courts in the day, members have access from 5 pm on weeknights and any time throughout the weekend. However, during school holidays the courts are always available.
Coaching
Sadly, no coaching is available, however, there are many other local tennis clubs who do offer an extensive programme. So you might want to consider them.
Competitive Tennis
With teams into the Hereford and Worcester and the Kidderminster Leagues. As well as regular American tournaments and an annual Club Championships, competitive play is alive and well.
Membership
if you’re looking for an affordable tennis club to join in Stourbridge, then Hagley Lawn Tennis Club offers a number of membership packages and some of the lowest fees in the country.
