Holland Park Lawn Tennis Club, set in quiet, secluded grounds close to Holland Park Avenue. As one of London´s finest private clubs, members enjoy it’s beautiful surroundings, friendly atmosphere and high standard of tennis. The clubhouse is the surviving wing of the mansion at 1 Addison Road which at one time belonged to the Holland estate.
Social Play
There are weekly social tennis sessions, which are a great way to stay on top of your game while meeting like minded people from all over the world. In addition, members are free to book courts for their own use. And since you can bring guests, as a member you have plenty of opportunities to play tennis. Plus in the summer play moves onto real grass courts, which are well kept by the team.
Coaching
A range of coaching is available at the club. And so if you want to develop your skills, you have a range of options.
Competitive Tennis
The club hosts many internal tournaments each year, which are open to all members. So if you are looking for more competitive action, then you’ll enjoy the range available at Holland Park Lawn Tennis Club.
Membership
As to be expected, membership fees are high and there is a waiting list. In addition to the joining fees and annual subscription payment, as a new member you will be subject to a playing in test. However, Holland Park Lawn Tennis Club always welcome new members warmly. Also you may come to play as a guest of a member up to six times a year.
Extras
Members enjoy relaxing with a drink in the club’s bar after playing tennis. It’s also a superb place to catch up with other members. Behind the club is a lawn complete with deck chairs and BBQ, this area is perfect for relaxing with friends on a long summer’s day.
