Lichfield Friary Lawn Tennis Club

Lichfield Friary Lawn Tennis Club is a vibrant, welcoming club in a beautiful spot on the edge of Lichfield. Founded in 1937, the club, in 2012 became Lichfield’s only club exclusively for tennis. With a superb year programme of social tennis, coaching and competitions, tennis players of all ages will enjoy being involved.

 

Social Play

There’s a fantastic court schedule on offer with many club session each week. However, there is still plenty of time for members to use the courts for their own games.

 

Coaching

An experienced and dedicated coaching team are available to helping members reach their full potential on the tennis court, regardless of age and abilities. As well as private one-on-one tuition, there is group coaching for juniors throughout the year and a programme of scheduled coaching events for adults.

 

Competitive Tennis

The club has regular club competitions and American Tournaments. If you’re look for match play, then multiple ladies, mens and mixed teams compete in the Staffs and Burton leagues. The club also enter the popular ladies Cup and Saucer tournament during the summer.

 

Membership

Everyone is able to join Lichfield Friary Lawn Tennis Club thanks to the range of membership options available. And since there’s no joining fees, it’s affordable to become a member.

The club has an range of official Lichfield Friary tennis clothing available, including t-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies.
