Longton Tennis Club
Longton Tennis Club was formed in 1987 on the Longton Memorial grounds, as a place where the local community could come along socially or competitively to play tennis. As a family orientated club, anyone who wants to try tennis for the first time is welcome. The club also welcomes those who are returning to the game and experienced tennis players.
Social Play
There are several club sessions a week. These informal mix-ins session feature mostly doubles play and are a great opportunity to work on your game. In addition to club sessions, you’re able to use the court whenever you feel like a game.
Coaching
Currently, there is no coaching available at the Club. However, members are always willing to give out tips and tricks! However, if you’re looking to join a club for coaching, then it’s best to look at other local tennis clubs.
Competitive Tennis
The club competes every year in many of the local leagues. Such as the Ribble Tennis League, Fylde Mens League and Junior Ribble Tennis as well as the Cunningham Cup tournament. This provides a range of match play for all abilities.
Membership
Longton Tennis Club is always looking for new members, so why not come down and play! When you’re ready to join, the club offers 6 types of membership. Each is affordable and enables a wide range of tennis players to join.
