Lunesdale Lawn Tennis Club
Lunesdale Tennis is situated in the village of Caton, Lancashire on a picturesque site overlooking the river Lune. The club offers friendly, well-organised social tennis and coaching and also the challenge of league tennis and knock-out competitions. While members can play on hard courts all year round, the club also has real grass courts, which are available during summer.
Social Play
Tennis players of all abilities to take part in an extensive social tennis programme. Plus members are able to play whenever they want to, thanks to an easy court booking system.
Coaching
Junior club nights are on Mondays and junior coaching with Club Coach, Simon Rawsthorn, is on Fridays. Simon also provides a range of coaching for adults. So if you’re looking to improve your game, help is available!
Competitive Tennis
There match play available for all ages. An U14 team competes in the Lancaster local junior league. Five adult teams in Lancaster and Kendal Tennis Leagues.
Membership
Currently new members save 50% on their first year’s fees. The club has a long history and was first established in 1905. When it was first opened, annual membership was £1 (about £400 today); however membership at Lunesdale Lawn Tennis Club is now much more reasonable at just £67.50 for the first year.
