Mackintosh Lawn Tennis Club

Mackintosh Lawn Tennis Club is one of the oldest tennis clubs in Wales and a founder member of the Welsh LTA. Located in the heart of Roath, near the centre of Cardiff, the Mackintosh Sports Club is also home to bowls, snooker, table tennis and a community centre.

Although a relatively small club, Mackintosh Lawn Tennis Club has built a reputation for its high standard of play.

Social Play

While it easy to book a court, members do enjoy the weekly organized club sessions. These events enable all to play some tennis, work on their game and catch up with other members.

The club offers a comprehensive coaching programme catering for players of all ages and abilities. So if you’re looking to improve your tennis playing, now is the perfect time!

Competitive Tennis

Mackintosh Lawn Tennis Club has enjoyed success in regional and national leagues and has won the South Wales men’s leagues 10 times in the last 25 years! This is great news for anyone who wishes to engage in match play as many opportunities are provided.

While you can join just the tennis section, you can also become a member of the wider sports club. In terms of tennis club members, adults pay just over £2 per week for membership. Of course, there are many different membership options which cater to all ages and standards.

The heartbeat of the club has to be the bar, where members can be found relaxing after exercising or watching sports on the large TV. Also a programme of social events runs throughout the year.
