Mortimer Tennis Club
Located in Reading, Mortimer Tennis Club has to be one of the friendliest tennis clubs around. There’s a busy year-round programme available at the club for all ages and standards.
Social Play
The club hosts social tennis on a Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as on a Sunday afternoon. So you have a superb choice of weekly sessions at which to play tennis. Families with children are always welcome on social tennis nights, however, they must be accompanied.
Plus if you’re looking for more opportunities, it’s easy to book a court for your own games.
Coaching
Being a small club, there are no facilities to provide coaching for adults. The club does provide a weekly group junior coaching session. If you’re looking for a wider range of coaching, then you may want to consider other local clubs.
Competitive Tennis
If you do have a more competitive streak, teams compete in the Basingstoke League and currently have two Mixed teams, two Men’s teams and a Ladies team.
Membership
With some of the lowest membership fees in the country, Mortimer Tennis Club is well worth joining. The packages available include adult, couple, family and junior.
Extras
Off court, there’s a number of social events such as touranments with picnics and quiz nights.
