Old College Tennis Club
Established in 1884, Old College Tennis Club is a friendly tennis and croquet club which caters for all playing standards. Situated in the heart of Dulwich and next to Dulwich Picture Gallery. The club provides high quality facilities so that members can enjoy and improve their game, whatever their playing standard, in a friendly, supportive and sociable atmosphere.
Social Play
Regular mix-in social sessions take place each week in the evenings and at weekends as well as on four weekday mornings.
Coaching
With 4 LTA registered coaches, Old College Tennis Club offer an extensive coaching programme. There are group in coaching sessions for all standards on Saturdays and on two mornings each week. Private coaching is also available. If you’re looking to stay fit and play some tennis then consider joining the club’s Cardio Tennis sessions
The tennis club has a thriving Junior section, with a full programme of after-school and Saturday morning coaching. Juniors can also take part in camps, squad training, club tournaments, fun competitions. As well as team league matches against other clubs.
Competitive Tennis
Over 20 club teams are active in match play, therefore players all of standards can enjoy competitive play. 19 teams (Mens, Ladies, Mixed and Vets) from the club compete in the Surrey LTA leagues. Two teams compete in the AEGON league and also three team in the Southwark league. In addition the club hosts an annual tournament that includes a separate Veterans competition. As well as a club box leagues and the occasional one-day American tournaments.
Membership
New members are always welcome at Old College Tennis Club. The subscription rates are among the lowest for the area and when you consider the standard of the facilities, the benefits outweigh the cost.
Extras
In addition to excellent tennis facilities, Old College Tennis Club has a Golf croquet lawn. The clubhouse is equipped with a bar and changing rooms as well as a table tennis table.
