Purley Bury Tennis Club is a thriving Members’ Club, founded in 1911, with modern sporting & social facilities and a unique ambience, set in tranquil grounds in a leafy oasis in South London. Whatever your level of play, there is always plenty going on at Purley Bury both on and off the courts.
Six weekly club session allow all members to play regularly. There are social play session on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Also there are two mid-week sessions on Monday and Thursday evenings. As well as a ladies’ group on Wednesday morning and a men’s group on Thursday morning. Of course, there is still plenty of court time for you to book for your own games.
Highly qualified Mark Love and his MDL Coaching team, lead a well-structured coaching programme for both juniors and adults. Juniors can start from 4 years old four when they are entertained on court with mini-tennis fun games and short tennis. Whereas adults have the opportunity to take private lesson or group coaching and can even join a course run by MDL.
The club’s Competitive play is of a high standard as well. A range of teams and tournaments which are suitable for club and county level players take place throughout the year including teams in the Surrey leagues. There are also match play opportunities for juniors as well as friendlies against other local clubs.
