Richmond Lawn Tennis Club
Richmond Lawn Tennis Club is a very friendly, very sociable club offering tennis at all levels. So, whether you fancy competitive team tennis, social fun tennis or are a complete beginner taking up the sport for the first time, Richmond has something for you.
The club is situated next to Kew Gardens and Old Deer Park. And is also a 5-minute walk from Richmond Train Station and town centre.
Social Play
There’s organised social tennis every Sunday afternoon throughout the year and Wednesday evenings in summer. Coaches arrange the social tennis and the sessions are open to everyone.
Coaching
Tennis coaching is available for juniors, seniors and starters. For the juniors, a variety of junior tennis lessons based on ability and age. Adults can start with Tennis Xpress, which is a superb introduction to playing. If you’ve been playing a while and want to keep developing then join one of the weekly Improver Group/Rusty Rackets Class. Cardio Tennis is also available.
Easter and Summer holiday tennis camps are designed to keep kids active, learn new skills and make friends.
Competitive Tennis
The club has 3 men’s teams, 3 women’s teams, and junior and veterans teams. Recently the Richmond First Team has played in the Premiership and are past holders of the Surrey Cup in the Men’s section and the Mixed Doubles.
Club tournaments take place throughout the year and are open to all members.
Membership
As Richmond Lawn Tennis Club offers something for all ages and abilities, a number of memberships are also available. However, if you would like to play as a guest, you are welcome up to 4 times per year.

The club also has a fantastic Social side to the club with multiple events ongoing throughout the year.
