Shirley Park Lawn Tennis Club

Shirley Park Lawn Tennis Club is situated in a wonderful setting about a mile from central Croydon, on the north edge of Lloyd Park. Whether you are an experienced club players, social players, beginners or juniors, you will receive a warm welcome from the friendly members.

 

Social Play

With four club session each week, social tennis really is at the heart of the club. On Sunday mornings, all members meet to play. Ladies, meet on Tuesday and Friday mornings. And Mens play social tennis on Wednesday mornings.

 

Coaching

Coaching is available for beginners and experienced adults as well as for junior of all age groups. Both group lessons and individual coaching are available. So, if you’re looking to improve your tennis skills, then the coaching team at Shirley Park can help you reach your goals.

 

Competitive Tennis

There a wide range of match play available. From club tournaments and championships to league play. The club competes with 6 mens, 5 ladies, 3 mixed teams in the Surrey League. As well as with a mens team in the Aegon national competition.

 

Membership

Regardless of your age or standard, Shirley Park Lawn Tennis Club has a membership option for you. And adult membership costs under £5 per week.

 

Extras

As part of the wider Sandilands sports club there is a large club house with modern changing facilities and a licensed bar. Also, the tennis club has it’s own clubhouse with kitchen facilities.
