Stourpaine Tennis Club

Based in the heart of the Blackmore Vale, North Dorset Stourpaine Tennis Club is a fast growing, fun and competitive, LTA affiliated club. Established nearly 20 years ago in 1998, the club offers a range of activities for all ages and standards. So, if you would like to join vibrant community tennis club, which plays in beautiful surroundings, Sourtpaine might be for you!

 

Social Play

Each week there are many opportunities for social tennis. The main three club sessions take place on a Sunday Morning, Wednesday morning and Thursday evening. These session enable members to turn up and mix in and also provide an excellent way of meeting other members.

 

Coaching

A comprehensive coaching programme is available. This enables both adults and children to grow and develop their skills while having fun. As well as regular group course, individual lessons can also be arranged.

 

Competitive Tennis

The club also promotes competitive tennis for those who desire a higher standard of play. Currently three mixed teams compete in the Shaftesbury league, along with one mixed team in the Dorset Summer and Winter leagues. In addition the club runs intra-club knock-out and box tournaments throughout the year.

 

Membership

Stourpaine Tennis Club offers membership to everybody, regardless of age, ability and experience. Fees are kept incredibly low and all profit is reinvested into the club.

 

Extras

Off court there are family fun days and various social events throughout the year. The club also shares the clubhouse facilities with the Stourpaine Playing Fields Association and Football Club.
