Sydenham Tennis Club

Whether you’re looking to get fit, play competitively or learn a new sport and meet new people, Sydenham Tennis Club has something for you! Tucked away in a quiet, leafy part of Sydenham, south-east London, the club is close to Crystal Palace, Lewisham and Bromley.

 

The club has seven tennis courts, two squash courts and a croquet lawn. Members can also play racketball, table tennis and darts and relax after a game in the clubhouse which has a fully stocked bar.

 

Social Play

Members have access to the courts 7 days a week for their own games. In addition, there are week social play session for members of all abilities. Also, the club’s Community Tennis programme offers a variety of activities for adults and children. Sessions are pay-as-you-go and are open to non-members.

 

Coaching

There are several coaching options for adults of all abilities. These include structured group coaching programmes, drop-in classes, beginner courses or individual lessons. Coaching is open to members and non-members.

 

Competitive Tennis

There are annual summer championships and leagues that run throughout the league (mixed singles, women’s singles, and off-peak singles). The club teams compete in the Kent, North Kent, and National Club Leagues. Informal tennis events are provided, including the American Doubles Tournament.

 

Membership

Sydenham Tennis Club welcomes players of all ages and abilities. And as the club offers a range of sports, you can select to join just the tennis section or all sections. So you have many options, whatever your age or requirements.
