Woodfield Social and Sports Club

Located in Wolverhampton, Woodfield Tennis Section aims to cater for players of all ages and ability. The philosophy of the club is for informality and fun and to encourage as many people as possible to play and improve their game.

 

Whatever your goal, whether it is getting into shape, meeting new people, competing or just enjoying sport socially Woodfield has something for everybody to enjoy. The club has some of the best tennis courts in Wolverhampton. As well as one of the best table tennis clubs in the country!

 

Social Play

If you’re new to the area or haven’t played tennis in years then come along on a Wednesday evening for a mix-in session. You’re welcome to pop along twice for free before deciding whether you want to join our club or not.

 

Once you are a member you can just turn up and play. However, you may wish to check beforehand as there may be a league match taking place (typically Friday evenings).

 

Coaching

Tennis lessons and coaching is available every Saturday morning for juniors. Adult beginner and improver tennis sessions are also available.

 

Competitive Tennis

Club competitions take place throughout both the summer and winter.  There’s also one team in the Staffordshire league.

 

Membership

Woodfield Social and Sports Club has a range of memberships including concessions for juniors, students and pensioners. A sports membership includes social membership giving you access to the 5 full-size snooker tables and clubhouse’s bar. Non-members can come along to up to two mix-in evenings before deciding whether to join.
