Grosvenor Lawn Tennis Club
Formed in 1923, Grosvenor Lawn Tennis Club has been playing in Cassiobury Park since 1942. The club is a small friendly group who enjoy playing tennis, socially and competitively, during the British summer months.
Social Play
As the club plays on grass, the season is limited to April through to September each year. During this period, club sessions are on Wednesdays evenings and Saturdays afternoons. In addition, members can play whenever they feel like during the season.
Coaching
Sadly no coaching is available. However, there are many local tennis clubs who do offer a range of coaching and so it might be worth looking at your options.
Competitive Tennis
In terms of competitive play, there are 5 annual club tournaments for members including Mens singles, Mens doubles, Ladies singles, Ladies doubles, Mixed doubles. As well as 2 teams in the Watford and District Tennis League. So there’s plenty of match play available.
Membership
As Grosvenor Lawn Tennis Club is relatively small, membership is regrettably for over 16’s only. However, players of any standard are welcome. Before you join, you welcome to join in at a club session as this is the best way to experience the club. In addition to a few membership packages, visitors are welcome for a small fee.
