Hitchin Lawn Tennis Club

Hitchin Lawn Tennis Club is an independent tennis club that has provided a place for family-friendly tennis in the lovely market town of Hitchin since 1920. The club is run by volunteer members for members.

 

Social Play

The regular social play sessions, enables you to stay fit and play lots of tennis. Members are very friendly and so you will be warmly welcome. In addition to these sessions, courts are easy to book for your own games.

 

Coaching

With a super coaching programme, all ages and abilities can grow and develop. There are weekly group coaching session and private lessons are also available.

 

Competitive Tennis

If you’re looking for more match play, then a range is available. Teams compete in the Hertfordshire LTA League, Ladies Hot rackets, the Datchworth Monday Evening League and the Datchworth Autumn League. The club also organises both senior and junior Closed Knockout Tournaments which take place between June and September.  Matches for juniors and friendly matches also take place during the summer. There are also regular American Tournaments.

Extras

In addition to busy on court programme, members enjoy as well as excellent social activities including club meals, BBQ’s, Christmas parties and more. Plus, most members can usually be found in the pub after social play!
