Newton and Noss Tennis Club
Established in 2009, Newton and Noss Tennis Club was created to encourage tennis playing in the villages of Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers and to help fund the maintenance of the existing courts. There are two outdoor, hard surface, courts in Noss Mayo. Both of which were newly re-surfaced in June 2014.
Also, to raise funds for the club, the members hosts very popular quiz evenings in the spring and autumn at a local pub.
Social Play
While you might expect, for a small club that they would be a lack of programme, the week is full of playing opportunities. There are two weekly social play sessions, which are open to all members.
Coaching
Laura James, an LTA qualified tennis coach, delivers the club’s coaching sessions at Noss Mayo. She runs weekly groups for children and adults.
Competitive Tennis
Sadly as a new club, there are no teams or competitive action. Therefore if you’re after more match play, then you may want to consider other local clubs.
Membership
With arguably the lowest fees in the UK, anyone can become a member of Newton and Noss Tennis Club. However, if you fancy the odd game, you can pay and play rather than joining.
