Sissinghurst Tennis Club
Sissinghurst Tennis Club is situated in the centre of Sissinghurst Village just behind Jubilee Field. The Club has been in existence since 1981 and boasts a strong membership of players of all abilities. The club aims to continue to provide tennis facilities for everyone, in a fun and friendly manner.
Social Play
For those purely wanting to play for fun, the Club offers plenty of opportunity for everyone to book court time. Wednesday club nights are always popular and have a very sociable mix of players. Plus, It’s a lot of fun!
Coaching
The Club provides a quality program of Coaching for members of all age and abilities. Open to both members and non-members, the club’s coaching programme helps to promote tennis in the community. As well as making lessons accessible to those who wish to try tennis without committing to membership. There are also Summer camps which ensures both adults and children can access local coaching at reasonable rates. If you are just learning to play, or simply looking to improve your game, book some coaching either individually or in a group.
Competitive Tennis
If you want a challenge, then Sissinghurst Tennis Club offers a range of match play. 2 teams play in the local Wealden League. Juniors are especially encourage since the Club now offers entries to the Aegon tournaments. There’s also plenty of club competitions for juniors, men, women and mixed teams, which are open to all members.
Membership
There is no “playing in”, no dress codes, no cliques. The club offers 1 week, 2 weeks and 1 month temporary membership options. Four different membership types are available and consist of Adult, Family, Junior, and Student.
Extras
Sissinghurst Tennis Club also offers a consistently good social calendar of events. Including Summer Barbecues, Quiz Night, and a number of one-off tournaments with a good social content.
