The Somers Sports and Social Club
The Grange, a Grade II* listed building has been the home of The Somers Sports and Social Club since 1950 when it was given in trust to the workers and families of Walter Somers Limited by the then chairman, Seth Somers.
The club plays host to various sports including crown green bowls, football, archery, rifle shooting, tennis, five-a-side football all within its 10 acres of landscaped grounds in Halesowen.
Social Play
As a member you can play on the club’s courts as often as you wish. So gather some friends and get on court for a few games of tennis!
Coaching
Sadly, no coaching is available at the club. However, there are many other local tennis clubs who do offer an extensive programme. So it might be best to also consider other clubs.
Competitive Tennis
As with coaching, the centre does not offer any competitive play. If you’re looking for more match play, then many other local clubs offer a range. Therefore it could be best to look at other local clubs.
