Welwyn Tennis Club

Welwyn Tennis Club combines a local village club atmosphere with tennis enjoyed at all levels from beginners upwards. Idyllically located, the club is run by the members for the members and welcomes players of all ages and abilities.

 

Young or old, newcomer or expert, the club has the necessary resources to support and encourage you with club tennis sessions throughout the week and many tournaments and leagues to play in.

 

Social Play

There are active club sessions for adult members on Wednesday and Friday evenings as well as on Tuesday mornings throughout the year. All adult members are welcome to play at these sessions. Also, newcomers can come along and try the club with no obligation.

 

Coaching

Head coach, Mark Howard and his team run a huge variety of squads from Mini-Tennis Red right up to adult performance play and also run junior competition events throughout the year.

 

In addition, special courses for kids take place in school holidays and include multi-sports activities and fun games.

 

Competitive Tennis

Apart from social tennis and coaching, the club is active in a huge number of inter-club leagues. As well as running many of its own club tournaments. So whatever levels you are there’s plenty of challenging match play available.

 

Membership

Welwyn Tennis Club offers a massive 10 membership packages and so all are able to join and enjoy the club. So whether you just want to develop your game with coaching, or are an adult or family, there’s plenty on offer for you.

 

Extras

Also, a full programme of social events takes place in the clubhouse throughout the year.
