Whitchurch Tennis Club

Set in the popular village of Whitchurch in North Cardiff, Whitchurch Tennis Club has been in existence for over 100 years. The club is surround by a quiet residential area, which provides a safe, family-friendly environment.

 

All standards of play are catered for from beginner to advanced, with recreational tennis and inter-club league tennis all year round. There’s a year round coaching programme for adults and juniors. As well as a great mixture of  social play and events.

 

Social Play

The club holds three social play sessions each week on Monday evenings, Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. These fantastic turn up and mix sessions enable all to play regularly and stay healthy. Also these weekly events are perfect if you’re returning to the game or just starting out.

 

Coaching

Head Coach Melissa Davies is a fully licensed Level 4 coach. She offers a range of courses throughout the year for minis, juniors and adults. Individual lessons are also available. Kids also benefit from tennis camps which take place during the school holidays.

 

Competitive Tennis

If you really want to put your skills to the test, then join a team. Mens and ladies teams compete in South Wales Summer Doubles League as well as other local tournaments. The club’s competitive spirit doesn’t stop there! A number of American style tournaments take place over the summer.

 

Membership

The club offers a range of memberships. From minis to day members and whole family membership. Therefore all local tennis players can easily join Whitchurch Tennis Club.

 

Extras

In addition to a varied tennis programme, members enjoy meet in the bar after a game or joining in at one of the regular social events.
